This event turns out to be the last event for the trusty Ford Focus for USUK Racing. More on that later. This posting is woefully late in coming and is therefore rather short. Suffice it to say, we have a pretty good time at one of our favorite venues. Amazing roads and great people. From a field of 27 cars we finish 9th overall and third in Open 2WD Light class securing 3rd place in the 2012 Atlantic Rally Cup.
The car is in good shape, which is fortunate since the plan is to put the Focus up for sale and to build a new rally car over the winter break. Simon even prepared a web page with a guided video tour of the car to aid in the sale.
After a few anxious weeks while we started the build for the new rally car, we found a buyer. It is Futoshi Murase from Japan and now bas
ed in Indianapolis. Futoshi was the 2009 2WD Japanese Champion and is keen to get involved again in rally in the US. He will be running the Focus at 100 Acre Wood in 2013 and Kieran will be codriving!
